Details for Battery Management
The aim of this project is to develop a small battery management unit for one of our mobile robots.
Description
Electric and hybrid vehicles are currently a hot topic in the automotive domain. A crucial part of electric vehicles is the battery management.
Your task is to develop a component estimating the current state-of-charge of our mobile robot. You will have to add suitable sensors to the rover and connect them to the onboard system. The rover contains several computational units (PC, RaspberryPi and 2 Microcontrollers) which you may use to sample the sensors and estimate the current state-of-charge of the battery. The next step would be to estimate the remaining range (or up-time) of the rover.
Required Skills
- Programming experience in C (ideally you already programmed a microcontroller before)
- Basic experience with hardware and sensors
- Interests in robots and a hands-on project ;)
