Thomas Nowak received his master's degree in April 2010 from Vienna University of Technology, where he held a position as a research assistant supported by a grant of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). His master's thesis Topology in Distributed Computing was nominated for the Distinguished Young Alumnus Award of the Faculty of Informatics at Vienna University of Technology. Currently, he carries out his PhD studies in France at the Laboratoire d'Informatique (LIX) of the Ecole polytechnique supported by a French Ministry of Higher Education and Research grant.
