Harald Paulitsch has been a research assistant at the Institute of Computer Engineering, Real-Time System Group at the Vienna University of Techology since November 2004. He has studied Computer Science at the Vienna University of Technology and received his diploma degree (comparable to MSc) in 2005. During his course of study Harald Paultisch visited the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) for one semester. He has finished the preparatory coursework for the doctoral degree. The working title of his thesis is 'Concurrent Diagnosis in the Time-Triggered System-on-Chip Architecture'. Prof. Hermann Kopetz is his research advisor. During his doctoral studies he has visited the Institute for Software Integrated Systems directed by Prof. Janos Sztipanovits at the Vanderbilt University. His research interests include distributed embedded real-time systems, in particular diagnosis in automotive, avionic, and industrial control systems.
