About

Ramin is a PhD research assistant in Computer Science at the Institute of Computer Engineering, of TU Wien, Austria, where he works on interpretable machine learning algorithms for modeling dynamic systems. He was a visiting research scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), CSAIL, investigating interpretable neural network topologies for autonomous systems. He co-chaired the 1st NIPS workshop on Worm’s Neural Information Processing (WNIP) at the 31st NIPS Conference, Long Beach, California, 2017. Ramin collaborates with Institute of Science and technology (IST) Austria, Infineon Technologies, Zimmer Group at Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP), Austria. Ramin is also a senior contributor at the OpenWorm Foundation, USA.
He has been visiting the Department of Computing at Imperial College London for a period of 4-months, working on developing deep learning solutions for behavioral modeling of integrated circuits
Ramin has completed an M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (2015) and has got his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering – Electronics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (2012).
As a junior AI scientist, he offers solid knowledge in interpretable machine learning, recurrent neural networks, deep learning, neuromorphic systems, brain-inspired learning systems and dynamic systems modeling.
