Resume

Armin Wasicek is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Computer Engineering. His research interests include Real-Time Systems, the Time-Triggered Architecture, and Security. He has studied Computer Science at TU Vienna and received his diploma (MSc) degree in 2006. During his course of study he visited the SUPAERO in Toulouse, France and the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. After working for a startup company as an Embedded Systems Engineer, Armin joined Prof. Kopetz's research goup. In 2012, he is completed a PhD titled "Security in Time-triggered systems" with Prof. Kopetz as a supervisor. Since February 2012, Armin works in the group of Prof. Radu Grosu on Cyber-Physical Systems as a Postdoctoral Researcher.

Armin was awarded a Marie Curie IOF Fellowship in 2012 which will lead hom to University of California in Berkeley. In 2010, Armin received a price for "Innovation in Teaching" from TU Vienna for the lab course "Embedded Systems Engineering". In addition, he contributes to the adjunct lecture of the same course and to a course about operating systems programming. In 2009, Armin won a mobility scholarship to visit the LAAS-CNRS institute in Toulouse, France.

From 2010-2012, Armin worked in the ACROSS project as work package leader for WP2 "Middleware and System Components". Previously, he was a member of the RTCA SC-216 on aeronautical system security and he contributed to many national and international research projects, e.g., GENESYS, DECOS, TTSoC.
